Chiltern Cross Country League
The brief for this project was to build a new website that was modern looking and easy to use and navigate. The old website contained a lot of historic data which we successfully moved across to the new website. We added new up-to-date photos and provided training to the team who are now able to make simple updates to the website themselves.
Old London Road Pre-School
Old London Road Preschool needed a modern, easy-to-update website to replace their dated site. We designed a fresh layout with clearer navigation and a simple editing system, then trained staff so they could update content confidently. The new website looks great, works smoothly, and reflects the preschool’s warm, welcoming brand.
Henriette Busch
Henriette already had a WordPress website, but her theme was no longer supported, leaving the site vulnerable to security risks, compatibility problems, and reduced performance. How do you go about redesigning an existing website?
There is no one size fits all answer to this question as there are many technical factors involved as well as the design itself. In our initial meeting we would discuss topics such as design and content changes, hosting and domain name, then work out the best way to proceed. We have completed project from clients wishing to refresh their existing site to clients who want to move from WIX to WordPress to clients who have needed to move hosting and required a pixel perfect copy of an existing website.
Can I manage content myself?
Yes. We encourage clients to manage as many of their content updates as they can. This will reduce delays and costs associated with needing to contact a developer.
Who hosts the website?
We can provide hosting for websites that we have built or you can use your own as long as it is capable of hosting WordPress websites. However, please note that there may be more technical challenges associated with building our websites on some hosts which can lead to increased complexity, time and cost.
Can I keep my domain name?
Yes, as long as you have ownership of it and have login credentials to access the Domain Host. This is important if any technical changes are required such as moving hosting.
Who upgrades website software?
We offer on-going service and maintenance contracts which include updating website software to ensure it is running the most secure and stable versions. You can update software yourself as long as you have your own hosting. If hosting with us a service and maintenance contract is required.
How much does website redesign cost?
We design websites that are individually tailored to the client’s needs. As such we price each project individually, based on factors such as the level of complexity, features to be added and the number of pages required. Technical challenges with, for example, using your own host may increase the cost. As an indicator a 1-3 page website with simple design requirements would start at £599
How long does it take to redesign a website?
There are many factors which can affect the time taken to redesign a WordPress website. The size and complexity of the website is a key component as is the readiness of the website content. After our initial discussion with you, we will have a better understanding of your requirements and be better able to estimate a ‘go-live’ date taking into account any deadlines you have.
