Creation of initial design ideas and site structure.
- Once the parameters of the project have been agreed and scheduled in, the initial design work can begin.
- Based on the consultation, we typically create a mock-up of the Homepage plus one other page for you to review.
- Taking into account any feedback you have at this stage we continue to design and build the rest of the site.
Completed first draft of full website is created and availble for review.
- When the first draft of the full website is complete we will talk you through the features and design elements of each page.
- Based on your feedback for each page we will make any revisions the site.
- Final checks will be made to ensure the site displays and works correctly on all device types.
Website is made live and tested.
- After the final website design is signed off we will agree a ‘Go Live’ date.
- On the Go Live date, the site will be published live and any further configuration settings and checks made to ensure it is fully functional.
Site training scheduled in and support for post ‘Go Live’ questions
- We will arrange a training session with anyone who will be involved with updating the content on the website.
- A handover manual will be provided, covering the main points of the training session. This can be used as a reference guide going forward.
- Your new site will be backed up daily and we will be on-hand to field any support questions you have for one month after the ‘Go Live’ date.

How much does a WordPress website cost to design?
We design websites that are individually tailored to the client’s needs. As such we price each project individually, based on factors such as the level of complexity, features to be added and the number of pages required. As an indicator a 1-3 page website with simple design requirements would start at £599.
How long does it take to design a WordPress website?
There are many factors which can affect the time taken to design a WordPress website. The size and complexity of the website is a key component as is the readiness of the website content. After our initial discussion with you, we will have a better understanding of your requirements and be better able to estimate a ‘go-live’ date taking into account any deadlines you have.
Do you provide support after the web design project is complete?
As well as providing handover training and reference documentation, we provide support both during and up to 3 months after a website has been made live. This includes daily backups, uptime monitoring and applying any critical software updates. It also gives you the opportunity to field any question you have about your site. Beyond 3 months you can choose to maintain the site in-house, or we can provide on-going support and technical maintenance.
Do you configure SEO and Google Analytics?
Yes. For all of our sites we configure basic on-page SEO and make the necessary connections to Google Analytics and Google Search Console so that your site will be indexed correctly and found with Google searches. If you have more advanced SEO needs then we can put you in touch with a local company who specialise in SEO services.
Why use WordPress to build a website and not something like Wix or GoDaddy?
The main advantages of WordPress websites are that they offer better flexibility, scalability and control. These are important considerations for businesses that want to grow and adapt over time. WordPress offers thousands of themes and plugins to help control design, functionality and SEO. Additionally, with a WordPress site, you will own your website and have the flexibility to move between hosts freely without needing to rebuild your site from scratch.
Do you provide hosting?
Yes, for sites that we build for our clients. We work in collaboration with SiteGround which benefits from enhanced features including free SSL and increased server resources. Additionally, if you host your site with us you can be safe in the knowledge that we will take care of any hosting related problems for you.
Can I use my own hosting?
Yes, as long as it is able to host WordPress websites. The caveat to this, based on our experience, is that there may be more technical challenges associated with building our websites on some hosts which can lead to increased complexity, time and cost.
Can you help manage my emails?
Due to the vast number of ways that email can be configured we would need to assess this on a case-by-case basis.
